Dwayne rubbed his sore arm and fixed his eyes on her.
As soon as he spotted Lucinda, he swiftly sat up.
“Lucinda…”
She interlaced her hands behind her back and gave him a frosty stare.
He hurriedly explained, “Lucinda, I finally had two days off and went out for drinks with my buddies. What’s wrong with that? Why do you want to hand me over to Grandpa?”
“Have you been drunk since yesterday?”
Dwayne nodded, “Yes!”
Lucinda’s expression turned dark. She brought out her phone and presented him with the news.
“Take a look at this!”
He accepted the phone with a bewildered expression, but his shock was palpable when he discovered that his scandal had become a viral sensation.
“What… When did this happen? I’ve only been out drinking with my friends for the past couple of days. I genuinely haven’t done anything like that. Lucinda, you have to trust me! Those women have been with countless men. I wouldn’t touch them!”
Seated on the nearby sofa, Nathan interjected abruptly, “Her trust alone won’t suffice. You need to make everyone else believe you.”
“What should I do then? My career! The Gordon family! And Angle International! Oh God!” Dwayne panicked.
